PALLIATIVE CARE JOURNEY

Every family and child’s experience of palliative care is unique. A family’s interaction with the various services and the length of time a child needs palliative care will vary between cases.

This part of the website is aimed at trying to break down into very broad terms the stages that a family and child may go through during their time within the palliative care service.

This 5 stage model of palliative care is based upon a model produced by Together for Short Lives, A UK based charity working in children’s palliative care.

In this section you will find information leaflets, links to helpful resources and links to organisation that can help you, your child and your family. Click on any of the stages below to find out more.
